Our Story: Building (Re)Member Records
(Re)Member Records was born out of a life spent chasing music and searching for truth.
My name is Tyler Winick, the creator behind (Re)Member Records and Tahüm. My journey with music started at the tender age of 16. I was inspired by underground hip-hop—a raw, unpolished antidote to the mainstream culture of the late 90s. It was the first time I heard music with positive messages, which changed my life. I dedicated every spare moment and dollar to becoming a producer, eventually earning a bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering and landing a dream job on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.
For six years, I worked with some of the biggest names in music—Fergie, The Black Eyed Peas, Will Smith, Yoko Ono, and more. It looked like success from the outside, but inside, something felt off. The industry was shallow, exhausting, off-balanced, and I barely made enough money to live. Fame seemed to strip artists of their humanity, and the people running the show appeared more focused on money than meaning. It was heartbreaking to realize this world wasn’t for me.
I quit my job, shaved my head, and went to Burning Man with no plan and very little money. There, under the moon, I had my first big spiritual awakening. It cracked me open, but it also made me see how much I needed to grow. I began working with my mentor, Val, who introduced me to tools that changed my life—spiritual, psychological, and shamanic practices that led me to sobriety and helped me wake up to the truth of who I really am: not the fragmented mind, but a whole spiritual being having a human experience. Together, we now offer those tools as part of a system called “Garden of True Self.”
This journey brought me back to music in a profound way. I realized I had been holding myself back, afraid to release my own music because deep down, I didn’t think I was good enough. With that awareness, everything shifted. I created Tahüm as a mantra: Thank you, I am enough. My music became a way to move past those fears, to express myself authentically, and to help others remember their own wholeness.
What began as a few singles with no real plan grew into something much bigger. My debut album, released on High Vibe Records, has garnered nearly 3 million streams. I’ve played at incredible festivals and built a supportive audience of 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Yet, over time, I realized that even the communities I had found—ones that initially felt fresh and exciting—weren’t so different from the industry I left behind.
I saw similar cliques, similar artistic egos, and what felt like the same heavy energy. Whether it was spiritual scenes, bass music culture, or mainstream events, it all felt out of alignment with what I yearned for and the deeper power of music. But rather than reject it, I saw it for what it was: people doing the best they could with what they had. That understanding filled me with love and forgiveness—and a desire to create something new.
That’s why I started (Re)Member Records.
This isn’t just a record label. It’s a vision for a healthier, more balanced way to create, share, and celebrate music. A space where music isn’t driven by substances or ego but by integrity, love, and authenticity. Where gatherings and festivals leave you feeling energized and connected—not drained. Where the music doesn’t just sound good—it transforms.
(Re)Member Records is for those who feel tired of the way things have been and are ready for something different. It’s an invitation to build something better together: music rooted in truth, joy, and presence.
Let’s (Re)Member what the power of music can be. Let’s create something new.
